HUBUNGAN ANTARA POLIMORFISME INTERLEUKIN-10-1082 G/A PADA KERENTANAN TUBERKULOSIS MULTIDRUG RESISTANT

Introduction: The incidency of tuberculosis are different among certain race, ethnic, and family. These differences indicate a genetic predisposition susceptibility to TB. Interleukin (IL)-10 cytokine is a potent immunoregulator to TB infection. Interleukin-10 limits the immune response so it has activating nature to TB infection. Polymorphism of IL-10 -1082 G/A, -819 T/C, and -592 A/C as different genotypes of IL-10 affect IL-10 cytokine production. Polymorphism of IL-10 -1082 G/A is susceptible for TB. This study aims to determine relationship between polymorphism of IL-10 -1082 G/A on susceptibility of MDR-TB Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study conducted in Dr Moewardi Hospital Surakarta. We compared the frequencies of IL-10 -1082 G/A, IL-10 -1082 A/A, and IL-10 -1082 G/G genotypes in 30 subjects of MDR-TB group, 29 subjects of non MDR-TB group, and 34 subjects of healthy group. The subjects were the MDR-TB patients and their families. The polymorphism of IL-10 -1082 G/A was analyzed by PCR. This study held on November 2014. Results: Genotype of IL-10 -1082 A/A was more frequent in MDR-TB group (33.3%) compares to non MDR-TB group (10.3%) and healthy group (8.8%). The frequency of IL-10 -1082 G/A genotype in MDR-TB group (66.7%), TB group (89.7%), and healthy group (91.2%). The frequency of IL-10 -1082 A/A and IL-10 -1082 G/A genotypes were significantly different between these groups (p≤ 0,05). There was no IL-10 -1082 G/G find in this study. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between IL-10 -1082 A/A genotype to susceptibility of MDR-TB in this study.
