The article discusses the problem of the interaction of the short story with the colloquial narrative, and genre hybridization arising on this basis. The material is a book by Linor Goralik Says:. It embodies processes relevant in modern literature, in particular, the transposition of "non-artistic material" (V. Shklovsky) in the sphere of art. This process generates a variety of genreoids, which are actually hybrid formations. The article analyzes the specifics of an occasional genreoid created by Goralik, designated homonymously to the title of the book: "Says".
