This book is an abbreviated version in English of the previously published book Työkyvyn ulottuvuudet. It describes the work ability of the adult Finnish population and is based on the data of the Finnish Health 2000 Survey. The book deals with questions on how health, work, competence and attitudes affect the subjective evaluation of work ability, on what the work ability of the unemployed is, and on whether the work ability of the older population is good enough to prolong careers. In addition, changes in the work ability of the population during the last few decades are examined
