An interpretative reading of The Wolf and The Lamb by La Fontaine puts to the test the abstract-concrete relationship, through its moral and narrative. The interpretation of this fable can give its readers heuristic power, through an analogy between the fable and their knowledge of the world. We assume that the guided-reading inquiry leading to the interpretation of this literary work is taught in primary school.
