The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the interest of a submerged aquatic macrophyte, Myriophyllum alterniflorum for the detection of contaminants in the environment. In situ studies were conducted over 28 days in five aquatic environments, affected by different levels of anthropogenic pressure, during three field seasons (spring 2015, autumn 2015 and spring 2016), to determine whether the accumulation of contaminants in the plant and whether biomarkers can be used to detect the presence of contaminants in water.
