Ordered structures of rodlike (cylindricaりparticlesin de and rf gas discharge plasmas were investigated. It was shown theoretically and observed experimentally that only two orientations (parallel and perpendicular to the external electric field) of cylindrical particles are possible, and that changing of discharge parameters can result in changing of the particle orientation
