Previous studies on the association between cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV) were conducted on patients transplanted in the prevalganciclovir prophylaxis era. The aim of our study is to evaluate this relation in heart transplantation (HTx) recipients treated according to current prophylactic and immunosuppressive regimens. Methods.
