The problems to be investigated when studying a fishery cover a range of subjects as great as that covered by the combined sciences of agriculture and animal husbandry. These two sciences, although they overlap, can by definition be limited, one to the study of plants and the other to the study of animals. No such limits can be set to the science of fishery research which includes the study of both plants and animals
