The paper gives general account of the various library procedure that have been computerised in teh TIFR Library and describes in detail a fully computerised on-line interactive current awareness (SDI) cum retrospective search information system for storing and retrieving bibliographic information in teh field of "DrosoDhila". Also discussed are future plan 19 such as 0016 (Data Base Management System) for information retrieval, compilation of Institute research publications
