We present an economic lot sizing model of a supply chain for the procurement and distribution of a perishable item. We assume that the consumers always buy the item that lasts longer. We show that determining optimal procurement and transfer plan is NP-hard, and present polynomial time solvable special cases.Publisher's Versio
