Lack of awareness of one's own symptoms is a phenomenon frequently found in Alzheimer's disease (AD). This phenomenon called anosognosia, mainly reported in the typical form of AD, implies a lack of awareness of one's own cognitive difficulties that can lead to situations of danger on the part of the patient, on the one hand, and a delayed diagnosis on the other hand.
