The purpose of this essay is to investigate how individuals use music for therapeutic purposes that has affected their health. Issues that relate to music therapy as treatment, music as a tool for everyday life and music as a tool for positioning themselves to their world. The essay also discusses what happens in the body when taking sound impulses and links this with thoughts about what happens to the individual’s perceived health when consuming music. One focus throughout the essay is affinity, which is discussed from different perspectives.
