När andra gick ut, gick jag in : En autoetnografisk studie om internet och ensamhet

This paper is about loneliness and the internet, to study its effect on us and how it can help us. What is the effect and its limitation to help us to decrease the feeling of loneliness and what is loneliness? Loneliness can take many forms and have many dimensions to it. The focus in this study is the form of loneliness that is a self-described lack of valued social interaction. The method used in this study is narrative autoethnography, to get a closer look at the experience in the interaction between human and technology. This paper also talks about the use of autoethnography as a method in the field of informatics. Results from this study concludes that internet and technology can help us to decrease social loneliness by giving us channels to communicate with others. But it cannot help to decrease emotional loneliness. Also, sometimes it is only the technology itself we interactive with to decrease the feeling of loneliness
