Textil- und Rennsportmuseum

The museum archives exhibits and machines from the traditional textile industry of western Saxony, which came to a standstill after the political turnaround in 1990. The heart of the museum is the historic Jacquard weaving workshop. The production of tapestries, upholstery fabrics as well as divans, bed and tablecloths is demonstrated. Another permanent exhibition is dedicated to textile technologies: knitting and embroidery. The manufacture of hosiery, stitch-bonding, knitting, embroidery and trimmings is illustrated and supplemented by hosiery and lingerie exhibits. In addition, a large number of industrial sewing machines will be on display, as well as exhibits of technical textiles
