The aim of this study is to depict how certain revisions in the traditional methods of approaching short fiction may result in more productive classroom discussion, essays containing highly analytical concepts, and less frustration and misconception concerning the genere. The study will address three principles: defining the short story through identifying some of its elements, reviewing some of the conventional ways of teaching short fiction, and revising certain traditional techniques to enhance the study of the forms for non-traditional college students.
