The paper aims to look into the crisis within the democratic system, especially in the Italian context, trying to define both the picture of the causes and the consequences, questioning the meaning of «doing politics» nowadays, in a world more and more pervaded with «dromology», unceasing hyperactivity, constant exhibitionism, that does not spare a ruling class dangerously seduced by the appealing tools in the era of web 3.0 and engaged in a government of perpetual contingency, where ideologies seem now dusty stuff in a junk shop.
