This paper introduces a modified Yagi-Uda antenna with the capability of focusing field in a particular direction. The antenna comprises of a rectangular-shaped driven element with one parasitic element. Parasitic element is used as a director to focus the field in a particular direction and increased its strength compared to other directions. The antenna is analyzed in terms of the electric and magnetic field distributions in the near field to the structure. A prototype is developed by using copper tape onto a stretchable fabric to validate the design.
