Effects of the environmental degradation in the last century rose awareness on the need to manage natural resources in a more sustainable manner. The role of the private sector in greenhouse gases emissions and resources use is significant and hence encompasses huge potential to mitigate the environmental impact of human activities. Environmental Management Systems (EMS) has been regarded as an effective way to manage the environmental impact of enterprises.
