Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair is the standard of care. The “SCOI Row” method has been developed over three decades of experience. There is a strong debate regarding the best method of arthroscopic repair of the rotator cuff. Our method uses a single row of suture anchors with maximum number of sutures passed through the tendon to repair the rotator cuff arthroscopically under low tension. Debridement of devitalized tendon and only incorporating healthy tendon into the repair is stressed. The biology of the repair is enhanced with bone marrow vents created via microfracture of the greater tuberosity, forming the “Crimson Duvet” or bone marrow super-clot that will envelope the repair site and regenerate the footprint of the rotator cuff.
