Abstract

[[abstract]]This paper presents a nonlinear modeling and its kineto-elasto-dynamic analysis of a piezo-actuator, which is a simplified model of a so-called pseudo-wheel designed for an attitude stabilization of a miniature spacecraft. The proposed model includes the coupled effect between the flexible deformation and the rigid body motion of the piezo-actuator, and it can be applied for both the finite element method and the assumed mode method. Besides, the model includes the longitudinal effect which is caused by a tensile load due to a rigid body rotation. This effect is significant to predict the vibrations of the piezo-actuator.
