Empirical paper seeks to examine the wage share in Latvia from 2008 to 2013, applying detailed breakdown of national economy by sectors and industries, in order to investigate the impact of employment structure on the wage share and its alterations during a short-term period. The conducted research showed that an aggregate wage share of the whole economy mostly changed because of varying employment share rather than changing wage share inside the particular subdivision of national economy
