The aim of work is to evaluate the existing power systems in Latvia and Lithuania and work out policy instruments which allow increasing the role of renewable energy resources in electricity generation. Tasks of the work are: study of literature, analysis of produced electricity, selection of suitable calculation model, development of the power system simulation, choice of policy instrument
