The article presents the role of scientific information expressed through modern library services. Article presented range of services which are aimed at creating a scientific workshop and support scientific communication. The information role of the library was discussed as well as issues of problems and tasks, which corresponds to an academic library organizing tools and planning services. Presented examples of services created by the library; external solutions implemented and potentially interesting implementations that can be planned in the long term. Considerations are supported by practice - in cooperation with the user and the analysis of typical information needs. Libraries proposals are often an information framework for researcher. On the one hand, this is done through the selection of available sources of information, on the other hand through the technical conditions that facilitate communication and the use of those resources
