Usually, bibliometric studies about scientific journals are based almost exclusively on the data provided by the so-called citation indexes, particularly Web of Science and its competitor Scopus. In addition, there are some citation indexes in specific disciplines and new products like digital libraries SciELO and Redalyc, national projects developed in Spain, and even the emergence of Google Scholar Metrics, that allow to have alternative sources of data subjects , but also based on the citation. However, traditional bibliographic databases may also provide other bibliometric indicators on the performance of the journals.
