[[abstract]]In this paper, a study for electrorheological (ER) fluid in a squeeze mode for broadband frequency vibration attenuation is presented. Semi-active vibration control has been used more extensively because it offers both the reliability of passive systems and the versatility of active control systems. In particular, ER fluid is one of the favourite actuator materials that can be used in smart materials and structures because they offer a fast, reversible, controllable, and continuous change of rheological properties.
