En las dos últimas décadas, estos métodos experimentaron un gran desarrollo y se han elaborado protocolos adecuados a diferentes sistemas vegetales, utilizando diversas estrategias como la vitrificación, la encapsulación-desecación con cuentas de alginato y el método de “droplet”-vitrificación.
