Calcifying odontogenic cyst (COC) is an uncommon benign cystic neoplasm of odontogenic origin, which shows extensive diversity in its clinico-pathological appearances and biological behavior. It most commonly occurs in broader age group of 1-82 years in anterior partof jaw which is classically described by presence of ghost cells. There are variants of COC according to clinical, histopathological, and radiological characteristics.Therefore a proper categorization of the cases is needed for better understanding of the pathogenesis of eachvariant.
