Deltaic successions and isolated shallow marine sandstones have proven to host economically significant hydrocarbon resources throughout the Cretaceous stratigraphic succession of western North America. Therefore, developing robust interpretations incorporating detailed facies and sequence stratigraphic analyses are critical in understanding their origins.
