Des mutations du gène DAX-1 (DSS-AHC critical region on the X chromosome, gene 1) sont responsables de l’hypoplasie congénitale surrénalienne (AHC). DAX-1 fait partie de la famille des récepteurs nucléaires, mais il est orphelin et agit comme répresseur transcriptionnel. Le but de mon travail de thèse était de mieux caractériser DAX-1 et sa perte de fonction provoquée par les mutations identifiées chez des patients avec AHC. Concernant la distribution intracellulaire de DAX-1, les résultats obtenus montrent que DAX-1 est nucléaire dans la majorité des cellules, mais aussi cytoplasmique et nucléo-cytoplasmique dans quelques cellules.
