PURPOSE To analyze the frequency of perforation of the sinus membrane during maxillary sinus floor elevation (SFE) and to assess possible risk factors. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy-seven cases of SFE performed with a lateral window approach were evaluated retrospectively.
