Adoption of fishery enterprises and empowerment options for fisherwomen of India Women play a crucial role in the growth and development of any agrarian economy. The economic status of women is widely accepted as an indicator for assessing the exact stage of development of society. As compared to men, wOmen in small and marginal farms undertake heavy load of work both in the farms and in the house, with very limited access to and control over the resources necessary for farming and house keeping.
