The article provides the fish landing details at Calicut during 1981 to 1986. Majority of the landing were contributed by the indigenous gears like boat seines, drift net, hooks and line and gill net. Major group of fish landed includes clupeids, anchovies, seer fishes, mackerel and tunas, soles, cat fishes, pomfrets and elasmobranchs
