Pumiliopsis spathepedes sp. Nov., a Cyclopoid Copepod parasitic on the eye of Sardinella sirm

The female of a new species of copepod parasite, Pumiliopsis spathepedes is described from the eye of the sardine, Sardinelia sirm from Tuticorin, South-east Coast of India. It has been compared with the only other known species in this genus, namely P. sardinellae.
