La violencia sistémica como eje transversal en la crisis migratoria de la población migrante centroamericana

The aim of this article is to analyze the scope of the forced migration of Central American migrants from the Northern Triangle of Central America to US and to reflect on the situation of the population in their transit through Mexico, using a qualitative methodology through semi- structured interviews with the main actors responsible for the migratory phenomenon. The main findings determined that the systemic and direct violence are a transversal axis both in the countries of origin and on the main routes, carried out by transnational organized crime gangs, police and government officials who are covered by an immigration policy and international treaties that have criminalized the southern border of Mexico; increasing the vulnerability of the Central American migrant population that transits around the country, especially in the case of unaccompanied women, girls , and minor children.El presente artículo tiene como finalidad analizar los alcances de la migración forzada de migrantes centroamericanos del Triángulo Norte de América Central hacia Estados Unidos y reflexionar en torno a la situación de la población en su tránsito por México utilizando una metodología cualitativa a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a los principales actores responsable del fenómeno migratorio. Los principales hallazgos determinaron que la violencia sistémica y directa son un eje transversal tanto en los países de origen como en las principales rutas, ejecutada por bandas transnacionales de crimen organizado, funcionarios policiales y gubernamentales que se amparan en un política migratoria y tratados internacionales que han criminalizado y militarizado la frontera sur de México; aumentando la vulnerabilidad de las población migrante centroamericana que transita por el país, especialmente de mujeres, niñas y niños menores no acompañados
