This work reports on the drop generation of highly monodisperse water droplets in oil using co-flow and flow-focusing channels of different length scales. The drop formation and breakup dynamics at the capillary tip is analysed thoroughly by using a Phantom high speed camera. Tween20 surfactants and surfactant/guar gum solutions of different concentrations were used as disperse phase to show the influence of interfacial tension and elasticity forces on the drop formation and breakup event. The experiments were characterized in terms of Weber (We) and Capillary (Ca) number
