The bioavailability of Thiamine-HCL and BTMP was studied with 28 male wistar-rats. Two groups received an optimized Thiamine-HCL or BTMP dosage and two other groups a high dosage in equimolar amounts. The Thiamine(Sigma)-concentrations (TDP+TMP+Thiamine) in blood and brain were analysed with HPLC. In the BTMP-groups Thiamine(Sigma) and TDP (the coenzyme of Thiamine) were significant higher in blood and brain, than in the equimolar Thiamine-HCL-groups. The results demonstrate the superior bioavailability of BTMP
