A conference report on Sustainable Development Indicators in the Minerals Industry 2009 Conference, which was held from 6-8 July 2009 at Gold Coast, Queensland is discussed. The conference was jointly organized by The University of Queensland's Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI), the CRC for Sustainable Resource Processing (CSRP) and The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (The AusIMM). There was also strong representation from industry as well as the academic sector.
