Abstract Background: Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Despite healthcare improvements, prevention for cardiovascular health, training in adult basic life support (BLS) with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillation (AED), together with increased public awareness of cardiovascular disease, survival from OHCA still remains poor.
