Multi-temporal radar interferometry has been used for more than twenty years by teams around the world to measure ground movements at the scale of mm/year from RADAR satellite images taken at an altitude of roughly 800 km. The advantages of this technique are numerous and among the main ones are its accuracy, the frequency of image acquisition of 6 to 12 days for SENTINEL 1, the open access to almost 30 years of ESA archive and its high spatial density of measurements.
