Background: Pterygium prevalence has various number from 1.2% to 23.4% in the world. The highest pterygium prevalence ever recorded in Indonesia is 3.2% in bilateral eyes and 1.9% in unilateral eye and outdoor occupation factors become risk factor with the highest percentage of pterygium population in Sulawesi, Indonesia (73.52%).
