THE WRITING ANXIETY OF ESP STUDENTS IN SECOND SEMESTER OF LAW CLASS AT UNIVERSITY OF MUHAMMADIYAH MALANG

ABSTRACT Writing is one of four important basic skills to be learned in this global era. Communication with writing is important along with speaking. It is because writing is skills that can use for share the idea, information and feelings. Now days, writing is important role in educational setting for students to make an academic writing. This research tries to identify the factor of writing anxiety and the stategy to decrease and remove the anxiety at University of Muhammadiyah Malang. this study was investigate the second semester of law students and the present study was take a place on 2019/2020 academic year. This research use quantitative research methods. The data for this research is obtained by utilizing two instruments, namely interview and questionaire. Based on this research, there are several factors and startegy to reduce the writing anxiety in law students. Those factors are self confident of students, language ability, limitation of time and feedback achievement. The strategy to reduce writing anxiety are a motivation from teacher to students, encouragement to write, students have to explore the resaorce and how the class environtment. The result show that the strategy that used by teacher of law student in second semester was helping them to reducing their writing anxiety in a class to makes students get a better writing result
