KOMBINASI PEMBERIAN PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE EXERCISE DAN ISOMETRIC EXERCISE TERHADAP PENINGKATAN ROM LUTUT PADA RISIKO OSTEOARTHRITIS

Background of Study: Osteoarthritis also called degenerative joint disease is a disorder that is often found in individuals who are elderly. Osteoarthritis is more common in the joints which sustains body weight, for example the knee joints. Loss of joint mobility in osteoarthritis will push the joint to work in a biomechanically unfavorable condition which will cause fatigue and increase mechanical stress. One of the non-pharmacological treatments that can be given to the patients of ostheoarthritis is an exercise, such as progressive resistance exercise and isometric exercise. Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing a combination of progressive resistance exercise and isometric exercise on increasing the knee ROM at risk of osteoarthritis. Research Method: The type of research is pre-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design without control group. The technique of sampling in this research is purposive sampling with a sample of 17 people. This research was conducted in June to July 2020. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon signed rank test with SPSS version 25.
