PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA APSARA (APLIKASI AKSARA JAWA) PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA JAWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

As a nation having the most languages, Javanese is a most extensive language used after Indonesian. In Java, particularly in the East and Central Java, Javanese is taught to elementary students and the further stages of education. Accordingly, the Javanese learning is considered essential. Javanese learning - in elementary school - is mandatory learning since it can build character. Javanese is stand-alone learning, instead of integrated with other subjects which are taught to students separately and included in local content. The difficulty in learning Javanese, particularly in Javanese Script is oftenly occured. Therefore, this research is developed to create a product of Javanese learning media, named APSARA, with the level of validity as media criteria which can assist students in Javanese learning, especially for Javanese script material and its conjunct form (called pasangan) in class V Elementary School (SD). This research employs the RnD model (Research and Development) and the type of research employed is development. The result shows that the media application can assist students in understanding Javanese Script Material. It is proved by the expert validation result that is 90.78%, and media expert is 89.58%. While the result obtained from the distribution of student responses questionnaire is 93.84%, indicates that the media get a positive response, and it is useful. This APSARA media need to be revised in term of the font size and variation of games questions
