Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Dengan Kepatuhan Pengobatan Pasien Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) ia a metabolic disease characterized by increased level of sugar (glucose) can be called hyperglicemia. Glucose levels that remain high in the blood can be caused insulin is not produced by thr pancreas gland or it could be because the hormone insuline produced is insufficient or does not work effectively. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship betweenknowledge and level medication adherence in diabetic patients. Methods: This type of research in this study is a analytic study and using crosssectional approach. The population in this study is patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the Poli Dalam room in the Kanjuruhan Hospital. The sample in this study was diabetic mellitus patints who were encountered while conducting the study (118 respondent). Measurement of the level of knowledge and level of medication adherence using a questionanaire that is diabetes knowledge questionaire (DKQ-24) and morisky medication adherence scale (MMAS-8). Data analysis using pearson correlation test. Result: The results showed that as many as 61 people (51,7%) had low knowledge and 48 people (40,7%) Had a moderate level of compliance. Analysis results pearson correlation test obtained p value = 0,01 (
