PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA RODA ARSIR PADA MATERI PECAHAN BIASA (PENJUMLAHAN DAN PENGURANGAN) KELAS IV SD

A study on the development of shading wheel media on the material of ordinary fractions is motivated by problems in State Elementary School 4 of Sisir Batu. The problem experienced is the difficulty to understand how to operate the ordinary fractions of addition and subtraction, without equating the denominator by looking for the LCM, students do not understand the forms of shading fractions. In line with these problems, this study was conducted to present a product of shading wheel media on the material of ordinary fractions (addition and subtraction). This study is development research that used the ADDIE model with 5 stages, including Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The study was conducted on IV grade students of State Elementary School 4 of Sisir Batu with a total of 11 students. During the online implementation, the researcher found that two out of eleven students faced difficulty when simplifying ordinary fractions. It was because these two students did not yet understand how to simplify ordinary fractions. Therefore, shading wheel media is needed with the help of colored shading pictures, which can facilitate students to understand the concept of fractions. Data collection in this study used observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data obtained in the form of qualitative and quantitative data were processed and presented to determine the developed product quality. The results of the study on the development of the shading wheel media on the material of ordinary fractions (addition and subtraction) on IV grade students of elementary school obtain 92% material expert validation, 90% media expert validation, 87% learning expert validation with a qualification of very good. Media trial results of the shading wheel media on the material of ordinary fractions (addition and subtraction) obtain student response with a percentage of 94%, showing that the shading wheel media is appropriate to use in accordance with the concept of ordinary fractions
