Background : Trichophyton rubrum is a class of dermatophyte fungi where the fungus can cause superficial skin fungal infections with a prevalence of 52% in Indonesia. The pharmacological treatment used is the azole group but it has gastrointestinal and hepatotoxic side effects. Various countries including indonesia utilize plants as traditional medicine in treatment fungal infection.Red galangal rhizome has antifungal effect because it contains essential oils, flavonoids, treponoid. Objective: Knowing the effectiveness of the Red Galangal (Alpinia Purpurata K Schum) juice on the growth of T.rubrum Method:True xperimental post test only group design, using juice with various . concentration of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%. the antifungal activitys test used disk diffusion method Data analysis used the One Way Anova test and continued with the Bonferroni Post Hoc Games test Result: The results showed that the inhibition zone formed at a concentration of 20% = 9.3 mm; 40% = 13.1 mm; 60% = 16 mm; 80% = 20.1 mm; 100% = 23.4mm.
