ANALISIS TIPE-TIPE KESALAHAN PADA PENYELESAIAN SOAL CERITA SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINIER DUA VARIABEL PADA KELAS VIII SISWA SMP ROUDHOTUL ULUM GONDANG LEGI

Story questions are often interpreted as mathematical problems presented in the form of text or stories, not in the form of mathematical notation. In the matter of storytelling students are required to be able to organize answers that include several steps that must be done. In the Linear Equation of Two Variable Materials, sometimes students are still confused in working on story problems that require students to understand the material. This study aims to determine what types of errors are often done by students so that teachers can improve student learning outcomes. The types of errors in this study are divided into five parts, namely errors in understanding questions, errors in preparing question plans, mistakes in completing plans for questions, errors in checking results (making calculations), mistakes in drawing conclusions. With the highest percentage or the most widely done by students is an error in understanding the questions that is as much as 65%, errors in preparing the question plan as much as 53% is the error that is done in translating the problem into mathematical sentences, while errors in completing the question plan, counting (checking results) and draw conclusions are the smallest type of error that occurs as many as 6%
