UPAYA YANG DILAKUKAN KELUARGA DALAM MERAWAT ANGGOTA KELUARGA DENGAN STROKE

Stroke is defined as a functional brain disorder that occurs suddenly with clinical signs and symptoms, both focal and global that lasts more than 24 hours or can cause death caused by impaired blood circulation to the brain. Family effort is something done by the family in helping to care for family members who are hav-ing a stroke. Family effort is something done by the family in helping to care for family members who are experiencing stroke. These efforts can be seen through the three themes sought by the family to achieve healing for family members. The purpose of this study was to determine how the family's efforts in treating stroke patients. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study research strategy. Interview data collection techniques using 3 respondents used as a source of 3 families. The results of this study found 3 themes, namely: accompa-nying hospital control, given non-pharmacological therapy, assisting in personal hygiene. From the results of the study show that the family plays an important role in caring for stroke patients so that patients can be met related to the basic needs of patients
