Partisipasi Politik Masyarakat Pada Pemilihan Presiden dan Wakil Presiden dan Anggota Legislatif Tahun 2019 di Kota Batu

This scientific writing discusses how the political participation of the community that occurred in the general elections in 2019. In this paper the author raised two discussions, the first related to the level of public political participation in the 2019 general election in Batu City and the second how the efforts made by KPU Kota Batu to increase the political participation of the people of Batu City in the 2019 general election. To answer the discussion, the researchers in this study used sociological juridical methods, qualitative data types and descriptive analysis and were carried out by interview methods. The results of the study and discussion showed that the level of community political participation in the 2019 general election in Batu City in the 2019 election had an increasing percentage from the previous year which showed that the people of Batu City followed political problems and wanted to involve themselves in election-related activities. Efforts made by the Batu City Election Commission to increase public political participation are also carried out in accordance with election law number 15 of 2011 concerning the holding of elections. KPU Kota Batu also made several efforts that were carried out continuously to form voluntary democracy and carried out routine socialization held in several schools and communities in Batu City. For this reason, in the coming elections so that the political participation of the people of Kota Batu increases, the KPU Kota Batu must give effort with increasing various types of socialization carried out as well as maximizing the role of political parties to provide political education to society and utilizing the role of social media to provide information related to elections
