RATIONAL EMOTIVE BEHAVIORAL GROUP THERAPY (REBGT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENERIMAAN DIRI PADA INDIVIDU DENGAN GEJALA DEPRESI

Irrational thought is one of the causes of depression which appears due to the lack of self-acceptance. The aim of this study was to improving self-acceptance through Rational Behavior Group Therapy. There were 20 participants in the age of 20 to 30 years old who were divided into two groups. The design of this study used experimental pretest and posttest. The instruments used Unconditional Self-Acceptance and Beck Depression Inventory. The data analysis used Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test. The result showed that REGBT therapy could improve self-acceptance of individuals with depression symptoms. The variable of experimental group showed that the self-acceptance improved for Z -2.807, p 0.005 (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, there was no significant difference on the control group which was Z -1.344, p 0.179
